Treatment of cervical erosion

The treatment of cervical erosion mainly includes observation and follow-up, drug treatment, physical therapy, surgical treatment and other methods. Cervical erosion may be related to changes in hormone levels, inflammatory stimulation, childbirth injuries and other factors, and usually manifests as increased leucorrhea, contact bleeding and other symptoms.

1. Observation and follow-up

If there are no obvious symptoms of cervical erosion and the possibility of cancer is ruled out, regular follow-up observation is usually recommended. Follow-up includes gynecological examination, cervical cytology, and screening for human papillomavirus infection. During the follow-up period, attention should be paid to keeping the perineum clean and dry, and avoid using irritating lotions to rinse the vagina.

2. Drug treatment

Drug treatment is suitable for patients with cervical erosion combined with infection. Vaginal suppositories such as Baofukang suppository and Xiaomi suppository can be used as directed by the doctor. Medication treatment usually requires continuous use for 2-3 menstrual cycles, and sexual intercourse should be avoided during medication. In the event of a drug allergic reaction, the drug should be discontinued immediately and medical attention should be sought.

3. Physical therapy

Physical therapy can use laser, freezing or microwave methods to promote cervical repair by removing diseased tissue. Bathing, swimming and strenuous exercise should be avoided for 2-3 months after physical therapy. Vaginal discharge may increase after surgery, so sanitary pads need to be used and changed frequently.

4. Surgical treatment

For patients who are ineffective in drug treatment or have severe cervical lesions, cervical loop electroresection or cold knife conization may be considered. Pregnancy and malignant tumors need to be ruled out before surgery, and sexual intercourse is prohibited within 1 month after surgery. The appropriate time for surgery is 3-7 days after menstruation is clear.

After treatment of cervical erosion, you should pay attention to keeping the vulva clean, choose cotton breathable underwear and change it daily. The diet should be light, with appropriate supplements of high-quality protein and fresh vegetables and fruits. Avoid overexertion and strenuous exercise, and strictly follow the doctor's instructions for review during treatment. If you have abnormal vaginal bleeding or persistent abdominal pain, you should seek medical attention promptly.
