Hematospermia is usually caused by inflammation of the genitourinary system such as seminal vesiculitis and prostatitis, and may also be related to factors such as frequent sexual life, trauma, or stones. Most cases of hematospermia caused by mild inflammation or physiological factors will resolve on their own within 1-2 weeks.
